I try to start guiminer on my laptop running windows 8 but the past week it doesn't start. The process starts, the gui never does, and after a few moments the process stops aswell. It used to run perfectly. What might be causing this???

That's really not enough to go off on. Does it produce any logfiles? Do you see an error message when you run it from the command line? –  Nick ODell Apr 5 '13 at 23:44

"I did not run it from the commandline" Well, go do that. It tells you where the logfile was written. –  Nick ODell Apr 6 '13 at 21:44
