A) People don't usually want to destroy their bitcoins, and B) you can send some bitcoins to one of a few known unspendable addresses and verify the transaction on any block explorer.

Adjusted the question so as not to be a straight duplicate of "can you destroy a bitcoin?" I'm aware the answer will involve a redirect, but this edit should capture what the user seems to be asking, and would be search-engine friendly.
