Also it's different from fiber and copper wires that form the internet. But water pipes are different from the internet too. You didn't need an abacus for that. As soon as you realize the stuff is not the same, the analogy becomes kind of pointless. LN has nothing to do with an abacus. Might as well use locks in a canal where water is always pumped back as an analogy. At least with that you can imagine imagine a whole network of such canals.
