So i'm using Blockchain.info as a wallet, i received some bitcoins to my wallet and inmediately after that i re-sent them to an exchange.

Incoming to my wallet: https://blockchain.info/tx/c8c49723e0355ab1624b4684bdb02d1cabd1ec9cc715b1f910a1accd60149f06

Being sent from my wallet: https://blockchain.info/tx/6da5fbf7e33c153555907602ca144ca7805ca021c13bcd076d395389f7290974

So both transactions, the incoming transaction to my wallet and my sent transaction from my wallet are confirming at the same time at blockchain.info.

My exchange says that even though my "sent" transaction to the exchange has 16+ confirmations the bitcoins have not been "pushed" to their wallet

So i am wondering, how can transactions be confirmed but the bitcoins not arrived? i use real addresses because i'm genuinely intrigued by this, so i want to be as clear as possible.

  • lol i messed up the link, now they are right. – user3418 Mar 5 '15 at 2:19
  • The exchange's internal software seems to not have rightfully validated your deposit based on the information given – Wizard Of Ozzie Mar 5 '15 at 14:58
  • Did you perhaps send your transaction to another address instead of the exchange's? – Murch Mar 5 '15 at 15:35
  • Obviously the bitoins ARE arrived, but blockchain has the key. You have to get the key to use those bitcoins. – gurghet Mar 7 '15 at 6:43
