I want to exchange BTC with other payment methods on my website.

person A will fill the form with email, name or other required fields and then fill amount of BTC he want to exchange. that form will take him to payment form (like Paypal checkout form) after that, I will "manually" transfer him dollars to his bank account/paypal or any other payment service.

I've seen Paypal integration, and I've tested it with my sandbox account. but I don't find any tutorial for bitcoin.

I tried to use blockchain but for API they require website URL and currently I am developing on localhost.

  • Client I was working for changed his mind and now there is no need for this. BUT this is still a problem. – ealgehdr Nov 1 '16 at 8:12

Block.io is pretty easy to use, but their free api is limited.

Blocktrail is another option that is easy to sign up for, and relatively easy to use as well.

My personal favorite is still blockchain.info but you are not the first one to mention difficulties getting an API key.

I've noticed the same lack of tutorials for Bitcoin web development which is why I started my site and youtube channel 2 years ago. If you Google how to use block.it api or how to use blockchain.info api you should be able to find tutorials that will help you.

  • The problem is that I am currently working on localhost , and api form is asking for URL for application. – ealgehdr Jul 29 '16 at 13:56
  • I was watching your tutorial, again I have questions. > Is this necessary to use valid URL like you use "btcthreads.com/test" or I can use "localhost/myproject" ? > If I use my another website as URL for api, will it be valid if I use this setup on my new website. – ealgehdr Jul 30 '16 at 7:36
  • For blockchain.info it should be a legit url. If not, maybe you should test with block.Io not as hard to get approved. – m1xolyd1an Jul 30 '16 at 13:47

  • Regarding localhost, I recommend you get Dynamic DNS name that can point to your host. You can use any of the providers listed here. This way you can easily move to production server without any change in code.
  • You can also try blockonomics api. Most of the calls are similar to blockchain API and has automatic API key approvals and more features like auto gap limit fillup
