  • The debug.log lines are truncated, can you post the full thing? This error means that your blockchain is corrupted. – Andrew Chow Dec 1 '17 at 22:56
  • @AndrewChow I've edited the post. You can see details. – user8519841 Dec 2 '17 at 8:00

Your blockchain is corrupted and will need to be redownloaded. Go to the Bitcoin Core datadir (it's /home/home/.bitcoin for you) and delete the blocks and chainstate folders inside of it. This will cause bitcoind to redownload the entire blockchain.

  • Will it work if i'm trying to generate a new genesis block? I've set a new timestamp, and all other values (including asserts) to 0x0. – user8519841 Dec 2 '17 at 21:59
  • I've set to 0x0 the following variables: genesisOutputScript, BIP34Hash, defaultAssumeValid Removed the seeds and asserts, and I've set a new timestamp (unix and the text one). After that I've run make and got the result below. – user8519841 Dec 2 '17 at 22:03
  • Are you trying to make your own altcoin? – Andrew Chow Dec 2 '17 at 22:38
  • I'm trying to understand how it works for academic purpose. – user8519841 Dec 2 '17 at 22:57
  • Am I doing the right steps? – user8519841 Dec 3 '17 at 7:28
