Trying to "play the lottery" and solo-mine Litecoin by lighting up a couple of ATI graphics cards & putting them to work.

(I know, I'll probably never mine any, but this way the upstairs gets warmed up some & I feel like there's a least a lightning strike's chance ;?)

I installed the Litecoin wallet - Litecoin-qt & set the flags to run as a server, listen on port 9332, username, password, firewall opened etc...but no joy in connecting to it via CGMiner - keeps giving a 404 error.

netstat-ano shows that the IP is listening on that port but I haven't had any luck mining against it with CGMiner or BFGminer either locally or from another machine in my subnet (192.168.1.99). Mining against an external P2Pool litecoin farm works, just can't get it to start locally.

I did something similar for Bitcoin-QT but Litecoin-QT is not responding for some reason.

Litecoin.conf file:

daemon=1
server=1
listen=1
gen=1
rpcuser=mininguser
rpcpassword=BobsYourUncle
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcallowip=192.168.1.99
rpcport=9332
