The Ardor installer is based on http://izpack.org/ to log information use the command line flags explained here https://izpack.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/IZPACK/pages/491627/Getting+Debug+Information+from+Running+IzPack+Installers

For example to log information into installer.log use the following command:

java -DDEBUG=true -DSTACKTRACE=true -jar ardor-client-2.1.0e.jar > installer.log 2>&1

If you are installing on Windows you will need to run this command as administrator since it does not perform privilege elevation which is done when installing from the exe file.
