Recently, I decided to check how Litecoin wallets work on UBUNTU and found how to create the Fork Litecoin according to the Instructions.

I have two computers, both have a VMware virtual machine installed and the operating system is UBUNTU 16.04. I compiled everything as per instructions and I ran ./litecoin-qt The wallet is running. Then I closed the wallet. Then I entered the data on one Сomputer # 1. Created file: litecoin.conf

server = 1
rpcuser = user
rpcpassword = password

Next, from the same computer number 1, I copied

Connection information

IP Adress: 192.168. *. *****

On the second computer number 2 also compiled and launched ./litecoin-qt Created file: litecoin.conf

addnode = 192.168. ***. ***

When everything is done, running purses on both computers through the console ./litecoin-qt

After starting the connection was established for 15-20 seconds and was interrupted. I do not know why there was a break? I was confused to restart, but there was no more connection and synchronization. Maybe I made a mistake in the file: litecoin.conf Help me find the reason for this disconnection?

  • I'm voting to close this question as off-topic because it is not about Bitcoin. – Anonymous Feb 4 '19 at 22:16
  • Well, then explain with an example: bitcoin.conf? – Izi Tors Feb 4 '19 at 22:23
  • @Anonymous It is "a cryptocurrency or technology derived directly from Bitcoin such as Namecoin or Litecoin" - see bitcoin.stackexchange.com/help/on-topic – JBaczuk Feb 5 '19 at 1:56
  • Unfortunately questions like this have very poor applicability and generally result in extremely low quality responses. I’d like to change that. – Anonymous Feb 5 '19 at 1:57
