I'm setting up a Lightning node using
lnd and this guide:
It's been an interesting couple of days, but I've made it to step 8.
It looks like lnd is running and I've created a wallet. But when I do
lncli unlock, even though lnd says it was successful, the line
lncli newaddress p2wkh doesn't work because it appears lnd shutdown immediately after the unlock:

I wouldn't expect there to be active channels, because I haven't got to that step and I have no bitcoin in my wallet to set one up.
Are there default channels in the database (channels.db, I presume)?
Is it because the node may not be getting to the outside world? This is on a desktop, connected to a laptop which is sharing the laptop's wifi to the desktop. I have the router forwarding 9735 to the laptop, which has
rinetd forwarding that port to the desktop. Unless I've configured something wrong, I would assume that should work.
