Am familiar with Monero, but not with Bitcoin. I know, that's a small demographic...

Is it possible to have a Linux CLI-only Bitcoin wallet that connects to a remote node?

I'm looking to have an experience à la Monero but with Bitcoin?

This question came from our site for developers and users of the secure, private and untraceable cryptocurrency Monero.

  • You may want to edit your question to specify whether you mean (i) a console wallet with its own command-line-style interactive interface, or (ii) a way of issuing wallet commands directly from your operating system's prompt. monero-wallet-cli is usually used as (i), but it also has command-line options for using it as (ii). The latter is vaguely similar to using Electrum (bitcoin) in non-graphical mode, but I think you're asking about the former. – user58807 May 23 at 20:56
