I'm trying to compile Bitcoin and its dependencies on a Pi 4.

The process: - git clone the repo on an external SSD I mounted (path /mnt/ssd/sources/)

git clone https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin.git
  • once it's done, from the cloned folder (full path: mnt/ssd/sources/bitcoin)

cd depends/ make

that seems to work, it creates the folder "armv7l-unknown-linux-gnueabihf".

  • going back to the bitcoin folder, i run the following:

    ./configure --without-gui --prefix=$PWD/depends/armv7l-unknown-linux-gnueabihf

It ends up with "error: No working boost sleep implementation found". I also tried the full path

./configure --without-gui --prefix=/mnt/ssd/sources/bitcoin/depends/armv7l-unknown-linux-gnueabihf

Same error. I would like to compile the dependencies myself, I don't want to rely on apt-get. I guess I can compile Boost directly myself, but since it's in the depends folder I suppose I don't have to?

Let me know where I fuck this up, <3
