P2Pool is a distributed bitcoin mining pool. With p2pool, each miner runs a p2pool node and these nodes form a peer to peer network amongst themselves similar to how bitcoin, itself, does.

Is it possible to build mining reward pooling directly into Bitcoin?
I'm aware there's P2Pool, but it uses a separate blockchain, which causes latency issues that make it unable to compete with centralized mining pools.
